The new year has started off just as strong as last year ended for Team Foundation. From Paris to Phoenix our athletes checked off numerous goals:
--> TWO Boston Qualified
--> FIVE athletes accomplished a PR in the marathon distance
--> THREE athletes accomplished a PR in the half marathon distance
--> ONE athlete completed his first marathon
One major take away from the last few weeks of racing is an incredible story of persistence. Coach Andrea's athlete, Brigid, was accidentally directed to take a wrong turn during the Carlsbad Marathon and she found herself way off course (1 mile to be exact). With a little help from her coach and husband, she found her way back on course and inadvertently completed her first ultra-marathon! We couldn't be more proud of your spirit and persistence, Brigid.
